Filming the Kawarau Swing Bungy Commercial
Great to be working with Jonty Norton and the team at Bungy shooting the new ad about their latest product, the Kawarau Swing. A lot of the work went into coordinating with the jump crew, planning the sequence of shots, and making sure each camera position covered the key moments of the swing.
Because the action happens quickly, we spent time rehearsing cues and confirming timing with the operators. Their familiarity with the setup shaped how we approached each angle, especially the harness‑mounted shots and the bridge‑level coverage.
Between jumps, we reviewed footage, reset equipment, and made small adjustments to keep everything consistent. The process was steady and practical, with everyone working to keep the pace moving.
By wrap‑up, we had a strong set of shots that captured the speed and punch of the swing. No need for big theatrics—just the real rush of the drop, recorded from the angles that show it best.
