Cinematographer. Filmmaker. Storyteller.
From a young age I'd always had a keen interest in videography and photography and it was through skateboarding that I learned to use a video camera professionally and how I was given my start in television. From 2007 to 2009 I produced and directed three skateboard televisions series for three different stations that aired in over 50 countries across Europe and Africa.
Skateboarding will always be something I'm incredibly thankful for and passionate about. For the last 3 years I have been volunteering with Make Life Skate Life as their official cameraman and editor. I co-produced Pushing Myanmar with them before producing social media content on their project in Morocco and am currently producing a short documentary on our recent trip to Iraq.
After co-shooting and directing the award-winning documentary, Altered Focus: Burma I moved to Queenstown, New Zealand where I have been based ever since. I have been fortunate to work on a range of commercials and branded content here with clients including, Kinetic Media, Diaries Downunder, Ngāi Tahu Tourism, Destination Queenstown, Ultimate Hikes, Tourism New Zealand and many more.
Working for some great clients such as the Born to Run Foundation and Blue Bay Travel has taken me to destinations such as Antarctica, the Sahara, Gobi and Atacama Deserts, multiple destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico, the US and beyond.
In 2017 I split my time between Queenstown and Yangon, Myanmar where I worked as a camera operator on TVCs for Artisa Film and a DoP on branded content. This lead to invaluable experience on large scale productions for international clients. Working in a foreign environment where English wasn't the first language was a challenge, however
it lead to me learning a substantial amount of Burmese and was an incredibly rewarding experience.
2018 has been another fantastic year with a busy winter period working with Diaries Downunder and Kinetic Media at the Winter Games. Spring and early summer has seen a continued relationship with Kinetic working on further productions for them and also a new one with Pursekey Productions in Australia. This included three weeks filming at the Youth Olympic Games producing branded content for Swisse Vitamins and the Australian Olympic Team. I have also had the pleasure of working with AJ Hackett's marketing team producing their branded content on a regular basis.
I love meeting new people, clients, crew and talent and look forward to telling your story together.
