I've just completed filming on the Heli Glenorchy project that's been in the works for a while now. Filming began over a month ago before I went to the Youth Olympics but due to the work load and schedules of all involved, we only got the one day in back in September. It's been a long time, (6 years!) since I was last in one of the 4 Deserts filming for Born to Run. Last week however, one of the race directors, Sam Fanshawe got in touch as she was heading to New Zealand to scout locations for their race here next year. Together with Adrian Bailey from Active QT we headed to locations in and around the Queenstown and Wanaka region scouting potential locations; my job was to shoot some aerial scenics for a teaser video. Had a blast this past week filming friday through Sunday with Isaac Spedding on a job working for Kinetic Media. We were tasked with producing some stories with competitors and other characters that have had a history with the Macpac Motatapu.
